The good news is that unlike some of the other scans on this site it does carry a text layer, so a reader can search inside it, though the character recognition is rough in places and some words come out garbled.

The title page reads A Collection of Esoteric Writings of T. Subba Row, F.T.S., B.A., B.L., published for the Bombay Theosophical Publication Fund by Rajaram Tookaram and printed at the Tatva-Vivechaka Press. Subba Row's own life is told in a separate file in this section — the Madras lawyer and Advaitin who gave up a lucrative practice for philosophy — and this is his work gathered in one volume. It is the source book behind the shorter Subba Row files held elsewhere on this site, including his essay on the twelve signs of the zodiac in the First Proposition series and his defence of Esoteric Buddhism in this one, and it collects a good deal besides that appears nowhere else here: his lectures on the Bhagavad-Gita, his papers on the philosophy of the Advaita school, and his contributions to the disputes of the 1880s. For a reader who wants Subba Row whole rather than in extract, this is the file; for anyone wanting one essay, the shorter files are quicker to open.
