*Two hundred and forty-one pages — the largest document in this section and one of the largest in the whole library, revised as recently as January 2026. Its own second title is Occult Annals of the Divine Pedigree of Man*, and it is opened by notes from the series editor, a page of quick definitions, further reading, and the drawing of the planetary chain of seven rounds. The contents page runs to nineteen pages before the text begins, which tells a reader what to expect.

It is organised by root-race, beginning with the First, the Shadows, and the question of man's dual origin and birth — with a section on the parentless birth of the Great Orphan. Occultism, it argues, affirms two births: a spiritual one manifested through the potency inherent in unborn, unconditioned noetic essence, and a material evolution of discrete physical elements. The most interesting passage in the opening is the one that reinterprets a familiar story. The Higher Angels, the Solar Pitris, were commanded to create — to imbue primordial matter with evolutionary impulse and guide its formative powers — and it is said that they rebelled. The file denies it: there were no rebels as such. The Higher Angels would not create irresponsible men, nor endow human beings with only temporary reflections of their own attributes, as the Obedient Angels did at first; for even though those belonged to a much higher plane of consciousness, what they made would have left men irresponsible. The refusal, on this reading, was not disobedience but a refusal to do the job badly — which turns the whole myth of the fallen angels inside out, and is the central move of the Third Proposition.
