Its own headnote states its purpose plainly: *these study notes and diagrams are the blueprint and compass to the substance of the Secret Doctrine's Second Proposition*. The structure is a triune law with three hypostases, named at the outset and then worked through: Karma as action, which makes the world go round; Yajna as compassion or sacrifice, called the very first conscious yearning; and the Yugas or cycles, which are subservient to karma. The long central section argues an identity — that motion is Nous and Nous is motion — and assembles the evidence for it from Greek sources with the Greek given: Nous as that which orders all things and is the cause of all, born from chaos to bring order, and identified with Nout. Blavatsky is quoted citing Plato on the motion able to move itself, Cicero quoting Plato on that which is always moved being eternal, and Thomas Taylor commenting on Plato's rational soul, which imparts well-being to itself when it cultivates and perfects itself. Motion is then followed down through its states, which is the part the diagram exists to show. Unmanifested, it is Parabrahman, eternal universal motion — the eternal breath which knows itself not, absolute motion. As it is about to be manifested, passing from First to Second Logos, that breath thrills through the first manifested atom, the ethereal vibrations diffused throughout space which are the central point in the circle. Manifested, it is the ideal world of the Third Logos, described as a perpetual motion of vortical vibrations; and eventually it becomes apparent in the material world as ceaseless vibration, rapid in the inorganic and slow in the organic. The last part of the file turns on two further identities: that Deity is Law, and that matter is Nature.
