Proposition 1: The Seven Rays of the Sun

Twenty-two pages opened by an abstract and train of thoughts giving each position with its page number. It begins on a note of caution that sets the tone — the physical sun is a mirror of fire, and one should not speak against the sun.

The seven rays are of the spiritual sun, and are called Luminous Sons, from which all other luminous and non-luminous lives will emanate; they are also the fiery tongues that represent the potency of formative creation inherent in the Logos. The first of them is given the most space and the strongest claim: it is the Voice of the Silence, from a ray of which the Ah-hi, the loftiest Dhyanis, emanate as the Heavenly Singers — and it is potentially present in every man's heart. From there the file works outward. The One Element manifests itself in seven states; Space and Time are one and nameless, the incognisable That which can be sensed only through its rays. The Hierarchy of Compassion is described as lighting the torch of truth — a bright star dropped from the heart of eternity, a beacon of hope on whose seven rays hang seven worlds of being; the Seven Wise Ones, the Dhyani-Chohans, fashion seven beams of light falling on paths that lead to wisdom, and the wise are said to guard the home of nature's order and assume excellent forms in secret. Seven Lights, whose reflections are the human immortal monads, are each put in charge of seven distinct groups of humanity, all proceeding from the First Logos and thence through innumerable series of hierarchies. The conclusion is the sentence the file builds toward: that is how a single cosmic atom becomes the seven rays of spirit and the seven creative forces of nature.
