Proposition 1: Akasha versus Astral Light

Twenty-nine pages, arranged as *a sequence of questions with their answers*, each listed in the abstract with its page number so a single point can be looked up. It has three main divisions — Akasha versus Astral Light, Laya versus Alaya, and a closing set of questions from what the file calls awaking souls.

The questions are the useful part, because they are the ones a reader actually arrives with. What is meant by prototypes existing in the Astral Light? Do the prototypes then exist on a plane higher than the Astral Light? What is the Akasha proper, and what in reality is the Astral Light? What relation have the two to memory? Each is answered in turn, and the file then summarises the Astral Light on its own before moving to the second distinction, between Laya and Alaya — including a section on what lies beyond Laya. The closing questions are more speculative and are printed in the questioner's own words, which gives a fair impression of how these subjects were actually discussed: whether the third term of each trinity is produced from the remaining pair, so that in Pralaya the Son is merged back into his parents; whether the ultimate state is in Laya, or at the zero point as it was before the stage of Father, Mother and Son; whether Father and Mother are therefore later than the Laya condition; whether the Virgin-Egg and the Eternal Egg are the same thing or different stages of differentiation; whether Alaya means that which is never manifested and dissolved, derived from the negative particle and laya; and how the Astral Light is projected.
