Cosmos and Deity in Man (Drawing)

Hieronymus von Mansfeld · Constitution of Man Series · 1 page

A single-page colour plate by Hieronymus von Mansfeld, issued to mark the 140th anniversary of the Theosophical Society on 17 November 2015. At its centre is a pale blue ovoid — the Auric Egg — containing a large five-pointed star whose upper limbs are gold and whose lower limbs run through red and magenta, with a small triangle at the apex. Above the egg sits a golden crescent, and above that a black disc bearing a single point of white light.

Around the egg are set seven concentric colour-wheels, each a ring of graded bands closing on a bright centre, and between them they carry the full spectrum used in the companion file Colours of the Inner Constitution of Man — the blue of the Auric Egg, the yellow of Buddhi, indigo and green for the upper and lower Manas, the blood-red of Kama, the violet of the Linga-sharira and the orange of Prana. The plate is therefore the diagram of that file rendered as a picture rather than a table, and is meant to be printed and kept beside the longer studies. It is a picture rather than a text, and the section list offers it both as a PDF and as a JPEG.
