Philaletheians are Eclectic Theosophists living the Life

Tributes to HP Blavatsky, the Great Noetic Radiance of Our Epoch

Henry Travers Edge, Charles Johnston, William Quan Judge, Boris de Zirkoff · Blavatsky Tributes Series · 45 pages

This is the omnibus of the series: the individual tributes assembled into one forty-five page volume for readers who would rather have them together than separately. It opens with Madame Blavatsky interviewed — Charles Johnston's account of their London meetings, and William Quan Judge's interview with the New York Times on her and her Mahatmas, published under the headline that Blavatsky still lives and Theosophy is in a flourishing condition.

The eulogies follow: the New-York Daily Tribune's editorial of May 1891, Judge's memoir in Lucifer with its title taken from the way she signed her letters to him, and his longer sketch of her career, The Esoteric She. A third section gathers tributes by those who knew her — tributes by her Masters, by her personal pupil Henry Travers Edge, and by her contemporaries — and the volume closes with Boris de Zirkoff's homage of 1947 and Madame Blavatsky's own plea that the link be kept unbroken, given in both primary and secondary citation, with suggested reading for students. For anyone coming to the subject for the first time, this is the file to begin with.
