Presentation 4 — Menhirs, Nuraghi, Tumuli

The fourth presentation is the most straightforwardly documentary of the seven — a photographic survey of megalithic Europe, assembled to support the argument the series makes repeatedly, that the great stone monuments are older than conventional archaeology allows and are the work of a people the Secret Doctrine identifies with the Atlantean inheritance.

The sequence moves through three forms in turn. First the menhirs: single standing stones photographed in coastal, moorland and farmland settings, one of them carved with markings, and a grouped alignment among heather and pine. Then the burial mounds, including a captioned view of a single-chamber dual passage-grave in a terraced tumulus at Kokkenlehøj on the Danish island of Møn, and two dolmens with their passages exposed. Finally the nuraghi of Sardinia, those drystone towers photographed from above with their surrounding settlements visible — the least familiar of the three forms to most readers, and the reason the presentation is worth opening.
